BAU Institute :: Italy, summer 2012




Otranto, in southern Italy, Puglia region, attracts artists for its light and sea, the countryside, the architecture and its stratification of cultures since prehistory. 


Visiting critic Lucio Pozzi, painter, journalist and performance artist will be joining us June 11 - 15. Lucio’s art is in major museums and collections and he writes a regular column for the Art Newspaper, Il Giornale Dell'Arte.

Visiting critic Gianni Sirch, contemporary art historian, documentary director and curator will be joining us June 26 - 30. Gianni currently teaches theory and criticism at New York University’s Studio Art Program in Berlin.
